Explanation of the less obvious items in ListPapersNNN.txt
Many of these are only of interest to the Editor.
- ID Two to four character unique
abbreviation of filename (below).
- FILENAME A name unique within that issue.
- JNL SECT An asterisk (*) indicates that this will
be the first paper in this category. (Relevance: it will bear the Section
Title which must be allowed for in the layout.)
- PAGES Of the form <int1>[*]#<int2><sign1><sign2>
<int3>[-<int4>] where [X] indicates an optional X and
- <int1> is the number of pages
- The [*] is present if there are an odd number of pages (affecting
page parity)
- <int2> is the position in the issue
- <sign1> is + if this item starts on a right-hand page and -
if on a left-hand page
- <sign2> says the same about where the item ends
- <int3> is the page the item starts on
- <int4> is where it ends, if more than a 1-page item
Common-sense modifications are used, e.g. questions marks.
The finer details of page numbering (especially <int3>[-<int4>])
are normally inserted at the last minute.
